Account & Data Deletion Policy — FixZone

1. Purpose

This Account & Data Deletion Policy explains how users of the FixZone platform (“Users”) can request deletion of their account and personal data, and what information FixZone Inc. (“Fixzone,” “we,” “our,” “us”) may retain for legal, security, and operational reasons.

This policy applies to all users, including those who sign in with Facebook Login or other third-party authentication providers.

2. How to Request Account & Data Deletion

Option 1 — By Email

Send an email to: info@fixzone.app

Use the subject line: “Account Deletion Request – Fixzone”

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address linked to your Fixzone account
  • If applicable, confirmation that you used Facebook Login

Option 2 — From inside the app (when available)

  • Go to Profile / Settings
  • Select “Delete Account” or “Request Account Deletion”
  • Follow on-screen instructions

FixZone may request additional information to verify ownership of the account before processing the request.

3. Verification

To protect your privacy and security, FixZone may verify your identity by:

  • Confirming access to the registered email address
  • Cross-checking basic account details
  • Requesting additional confirmation if suspicious activity is detected

If verification fails, FixZone may be unable to complete the deletion request.

4. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • Your account will be deactivated and scheduled for deletion.
  • Your login access to the app and website will be removed.
  • Personal profile data (name, email, phone, profile photo) will be deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law or business obligations.
  • Some data may temporarily remain in backups before being automatically overwritten.

5. Data That May Be Retained

Even after deletion, FixZone may retain certain data for legal, security, or operational purposes, including:

  • Legal, tax, and accounting requirements
  • Fraud detection and prevention
  • Security monitoring and abuse prevention
  • Resolving disputes or enforcing agreements
  • Compliance with regulators and law enforcement

Examples include:

  • Transaction and payment history (required by financial regulations)
  • Limited location or job records linked to disputes or safety issues
  • Fraud or chargeback-related logs
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you

Retained data is stored securely and only for as long as necessary for the above purposes.

6. Facebook Login – Data Deletion Instructions

Users who sign in via Facebook Login may request deletion as described in Section 2. FixZone will delete or anonymize:

  • Your Fixzone account linked to Facebook
  • Any data imported through Facebook Login except where retention is legally required

If your request is for Facebook’s Data Deletion program, include this statement:

“This request is related to Facebook Login data deletion.”

7. Timeframe for Processing Requests

FixZone aims to process deletion requests within:

  • Up to 30 days after successful identity verification

Exceptions may apply if:

  • There is an active investigation or dispute
  • Legal obligations require longer retention

If additional processing time is needed, FixZone will make reasonable efforts to inform you.

8. Effect on Providers and Clients

For Providers:

  • Loss of access to past job history
  • Inability to receive new jobs or payments

For Clients:

  • Loss of access to booking history
  • Inability to view past invoices or receipts

Limited records may still be retained as required by law or security policies.

9. Children’s Accounts

FixZone is not intended for individuals under 18. If a minor is found to have an account, FixZone will delete the account and associated data as appropriate.

10. Changes to This Policy

FixZone may update this Policy periodically. Updated versions will include a revised Effective Date. Continued use of FixZone after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
